The technical regulation on safety for low-voltage equipment has been suspended until 31/12/2011. This decision was taken by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev as a result of numerous requests made to the Russian government by the entrepreneurial sector. Please note that the technical regulation for low-voltage equipment, entered into force in Russia on 31/12/2010.
Together with Russia, the legislation was to come into force in Belarus, a member of the Customs Union, but the government of Belarus has decided to postpone the date of entry into force until 2013 still in the autumn of last year. In Russia the decision to postpone the entry into force of the Regulation was made in the last days of December. Employers have asked the Russian government to wait until the time the regulation comes into force in all member states of the Customs Union.
According to an authoritative source the same fate could also affect the three technical regulations that must be implemented in the spring of this year. This is the technical regulations for appliances burning gaseous fuels, the technical regulations for products for children and adolescents, the technical regulations for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive environments. The date of entry into force of these regulations could slip to next year. |
