 On 31/08/2023, following the updating of the list of products subject to mandatory certification on Russian territory and the revision of the technical standards, the transitional period within which it was possible to import and distribute products without product certification on the Russian market ended. We remind you that this type of certification (commonly known as GOST R certification) still exists in the Russian Federation, although it is destined to be gradually replaced by the EAC certification of the Eurasian Community.
Therefore, starting from the aforementioned date, in order to continue exporting the products included in the new list to Russia, manufacturers will have to update their technical file, manuals and marking (labelling) in addition to obtaining the national GOST R certification. The GOST R conformity certifications issued before 01/09/2022, date of entry into force of the Russian Government Legislative Decree No. 2425 of 23/12/2021 containing changes to the list of products subject to mandatory certification at the national level, will remain valid only until 01/09/2025 even if the expiry date indicated in the certification is later.
Below we report the product categories of greatest interest to a foreign manufacturers and exporters, included in the new list, together with the GOST standards to which the product's compliance must be verified (standards containing general technical specifications):
