Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have approved the entry into the customs of Kyrgyzstan. The extension was announced by the EAC Secretary General Tair Mansurov during the EurAsEC Interstate Council meeting. The question on the accession of Kyrgyzstan was on the agenda for some time. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived in St. Petersburg, where he
played the Summit of Heads of State of CIS and EurAsEC Interstate Council meeting during which the interim Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov has announced 'his entrance into the Eurasian Economic Community. The Customs Union was established October 6, 2007 from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan has applied for membership in the spring of 2011. It is worthwhile to stress that Kyrgyzstan is part of the WTO and now so will have to take measures to fulfill all the commitments entered into the Customs Union. In particular, with its partners will give the WTO the issue of customs duties in accordance with the Unified Customs Tariff of the Customs Union, which is not an easy task as experts point out. |
